Comment | The isolated and purified catalytic domain of the human class IIa HDAC, cdHDAC7, has an intrinsic low level of deacetylase activity in the absence of any complex partner which can be inhibited by known HDAC inhibitors such as the hydroxamic acid TSA. It has been showen that the isolated catalytic domain of class IIa HDACs have weak but measurable intrinsic catalytic activity on chemically acetylated core histones. |
